It's All About Good Food
Gg's has delicious home-cooked food in a charming dining area with friendly and efficient servers.
Welcome to our site and thank you for visiting!!!. Be sure to check out our Menu and our monthly Lunch Specials. We are located in the heart of Marion on the corner of Hwy 78 & LaVernia St. We are very proud of our "new" building which is 100 years old this year. It was built in 1910 by John Huebinger. It's original business was a Grocery Store and Meat Market. Thru the years it has been a chicken hatchery, a washateria, a barber shop, and an Insurance agency (just to mention a few!). The previous owners, Todd & Londy Byrd did a fantastic job renovating this 100 year old building and we are so happy that they did. Gg's has a charming dine-in area with friendly & efficient servers. There is also a convenient drive thru. Call in your order for faster service as we are not a fast food restaurant! We hope that you will visit us soon!!!
Loved loved this place.... friendly. Efficient service....cold beer in a frosty mug...great sandwiches and awesome onion rings. We will definitely be back!!
First time dining after driving by it for almost a year. Did not catch the mans name who seated us but was very nice. Ginger was our server and she was awesome. Love the small business and small town. Glad we moved in to rural Marion. New favorite place to eat.
It was amazing.. If you like chicken fried steak, fried green tomatoes, big juicy burgers and homemade pie..the list goes on! We were also so surprised that the inside of the Cafe was so beautiful and charming!! Can't wait to go back!
What's not to like about a home town, not chain restaurant. They are nice people that make good food and have good portions da' boot. Today's feast was chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes cream gravy and a side salad. My chicken was cooked perfectly and moist. Our son had chicken strips that were the best he has had in a long time. With homemade sauerkraut and another side. That sauerkraut was the bomb. My wife's fried catfish was plentiful and gone! To top it off we split a piece of chocolate cake. Then to top that off, we purchased a loaf of their bread to take home. Pleasantly full but not weighed down. Time to take a step off of mainstream and enjoy the local place
Really sweet people, food is delicious and freshly made the hamburgers are huge! Everything tastes great. The crab puppies are delicious as well
This is a hidden gym of a place. The food was reasonable priced and very tasty. It is like the TARDIS, much bigger inside than you think. Great service as well
Awesome, friendly staff. Give this place a visit for some good country cooking.
Meatloaf special was very good and a huge portion! Wife had the grilled chicken with green beans and okra and it was very good also. Took a slice of the chocolate cake home for later and it was very moist! Super friendly wait staff and reasonable prices too!
This place was recommended to my wife when she shopped at Charlotte's Country, an antique shop. It was lunch time, and we decided to give it a try. We are very happy we did. My wife had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and fried okra, I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. We shared our plates. Everything was delicious. Not only was the food outstanding, the service was excellent as well. All of the servers were friendly, especially Ginger. Afterward we talked to the owner, who was very personable as well. We had a great experience and definitely plan to return.
Food was absolutely delicious! You have to try the fried green tomatoes and the chicken fried pork steak!!! Make sure you come with an appetite because the portions can feed 2! Love, love, loved it!!! Servers were super friendly and attentive as well.
