It's All About Good Food
Gg's has delicious home-cooked food in a charming dining area with friendly and efficient servers.
Welcome to our site and thank you for visiting!!!. Be sure to check out our Menu and our monthly Lunch Specials. We are located in the heart of Marion on the corner of Hwy 78 & LaVernia St. We are very proud of our "new" building which is 100 years old this year. It was built in 1910 by John Huebinger. It's original business was a Grocery Store and Meat Market. Thru the years it has been a chicken hatchery, a washateria, a barber shop, and an Insurance agency (just to mention a few!). The previous owners, Todd & Londy Byrd did a fantastic job renovating this 100 year old building and we are so happy that they did. Gg's has a charming dine-in area with friendly & efficient servers. There is also a convenient drive thru. Call in your order for faster service as we are not a fast food restaurant! We hope that you will visit us soon!!!
Never heard of this place but, luckily we were installing an AC unit here. Great home cooked meal. A lot of food for a decent price. Extremely fast and very friendly wait service. Definitely will return
Wonderful food. Wonderful atmosphere. Remember to ask for bread with your meal if you want it. They do not automatically bring it to you anymore.
What's not to like about a home town, not chain restaurant. They are nice people that make good food and have good portions da' boot. Today's feast was chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes cream gravy and a side salad. My chicken was cooked perfectly and moist. Our son had chicken strips that were the best he has had in a long time. With homemade sauerkraut and another side. That sauerkraut was the bomb. My wife's fried catfish was plentiful and gone! To top it off we split a piece of chocolate cake. Then to top that off, we purchased a loaf of their bread to take home. Pleasantly full but not weighed down. Time to take a step off of mainstream and enjoy the local place
This is a hidden gym of a place. The food was reasonable priced and very tasty. It is like the TARDIS, much bigger inside than you think. Great service as well
Great service and cute atmosphere. Friendly people who are very attentive while you are visiting their establishment. We will go again for sure!!! Cash and card are accepted
This place was recommended to my wife when she shopped at Charlotte's Country, an antique shop. It was lunch time, and we decided to give it a try. We are very happy we did. My wife had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and fried okra, I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. We shared our plates. Everything was delicious. Not only was the food outstanding, the service was excellent as well. All of the servers were friendly, especially Ginger. Afterward we talked to the owner, who was very personable as well. We had a great experience and definitely plan to return.
Food was great. Nice selection of choices to eat can't make up my mind. Need to go by again and again. All the ladies that served us were super nice! Tha whole place is so inviting.
Meatloaf special was very good and a huge portion! Wife had the grilled chicken with green beans and okra and it was very good also. Took a slice of the chocolate cake home for later and it was very moist! Super friendly wait staff and reasonable prices too!
We went for breakfast and little did we know it was only their second day to serve a breakfast menu. The food was delicious and the service was great. They do have some kinks to work out though but I'm sure they will figure it all out. 😊
1st time visitor to this local go-to place. I loved the meatloaf and fries! The kids meals were cheap, friendly staff, unique decorations.
